Omniva connects people, businesses, and communities across the Baltics and beyond. We’ve grown from Estonia’s trusted postal service into a modern, technology-driven logistics company supporting the growth of e-commerce and global trade.
Every day, we help our customers send, receive, and grow — with care, precision, and reliability. Our people are at the heart of everything we do: caring, open, and driven to deliver experiences that feel personal and effortless.
At Omniva, every delivery carries possibility — and every team member helps make that happen.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our Data Engineering team.
In this role, you’ll help design, build, and strengthen the pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling that turn raw operational data into reliable, well-governed data the business runs on, spanning ingestion, transformation, and the curated layers used for reporting and decision-making. You'll work closely with a compact team of experienced engineers who know the data and the business deeply, and who are looking for a peer to build alongside.
This is an opportunity to be part of Omniva’s transformation, helping shape the future of logistics and technology across the Baltics and beyond.

Build and maintain pipelines that move data from source systems through prepared, curated layers in the warehouse
Develop and maintain dbt models as the core of the transformation layer
Own orchestration end-to-end in Airflow (DAG design, templating, monitoring, and alerting)
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar)
Containerize and deploy services with Docker
Contribute to warehouse design and performance work: physical layout, workload management, and query tuning
Build data replication and ingestion solutions across the spectrum, from scraping and loading an API to streaming pipelines (Kafka or similar)
Work closely with the team, share ideas, question assumptions, and find compromises where approaches differ

Proven Python proficiency. You need to be able to build and maintain production-grade data engineering solutions, not just scripts
Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and a solid understanding of warehouse internals (segmentation, sort order, resource/workload management); familiarity with Vertica is a plus
A collaborative mindset. You are open to compromise, inclined to build solutions that hold up beyond the immediate problem, and happy to share what you know
Experience with dbt, plus a solid grasp of data warehousing concepts (star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, fact/dimension design)
Experience with Airflow, including maintaining and upgrading instances
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control, including code review practices
Experience building - NOT just using - infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
Experience with data replication or ingestion, anywhere on the spectrum from API scraping to streaming with Kafka
Comfortable with Docker and containerized deployments
Exposure to cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is considered a strong plus
Exposure to Apache Iceberg (or similar) is also considered a strong plus
Proficiency in English is required (written and spoken)
